Star John Obi Mikel

By Abidoye Babatunde

Crystal Palace are reportedly looking for potential reinforcements to beef up the team in the winter transfer market.

Palace are in the market for a central midfielder and have identified Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel as a potential target.

The Eagles coach Roy Hodgson is in the market for Obi-Mikel – although we understand up to half-a-dozen Pemier League clubs are keen on the 31- year-old midfielder who is a free agent having left Tianjin Teda.

Mikel also has options to remain in China, but he is weighing up his options.

Mikel has bags of Premier League
experience with 249 games to his name in more than ten years at Chelsea, prior to his move to China in January 2017.
