CSED Completes 2-day Training Seminar For Game Masters And Mistresses

Community Sport and Educational Development, CSED, has concluded their two-day training seminar for primary schools Games Masters and Mistresses in Warri, Delta State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The free event which was held at the premises of Hussey College was attended by 25 teachers from Warri. The resource persons who trained the game masters and mistresses as well school kids are former Nigeria international, Edema Fuludu, Dan Evumena, Bob Tosan Blankson and Atare Azigbo.
The Game Masters and Mistresses were taught how to organise practice sessions for their students, match preparation, team tactics and how to identify and nurture the talents of students among others.
On the second day of the seminars; the attendees were shown how to put classroom learning into practice in the football field.
The highlight of this event was the safeguarding session that was delivered by Mr Clara Ukulu (social worker). The safeguarding session was done in line with international best practice where the safety of students and athletes are expected to be prioritised in the classroom and in the sports fields.
Most of the attendees were thrilled with the knowledge that they have gained from attending this seminar, as Game Master and Mistresses who are at the base of the football coaching pyramid have been largely neglected in the scheme of things.
The event in Warri was the third seminar that CSED has organised for Game Masters and Mistresses. However, the poor turn out of attendees was attributed to the mix-up in the date of the event. CSED has now trained 135 Game Masters and Mistresses in football.
Edema Fuludu, CSED National Coordinator, has said that this is the time in his life to give back to society by providing a platform for budding talents to realise their dreams.
In the coming months, CSED intends to extend their free training programmes for Game Masters and Mistresses in football and other sports to other state in the Niger Delta area.
