Former Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo on Wednesday gave a good accounts of himself in the Chinese Super League match against Jiangsu Sunning.

Ighalo emerged the winner of the golden boot for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt before announcing his retirement from the national team after the tournament.

Shanghai Shenhua suffered a 1-3 home defeat to visiting Jiangsu Sunning with Ighalo netting the only goal from the penalty spot.

The former Watford striker has now netted 10 league goals in 16 appearances .

Ighalo is expected to lead line again when Shanghai Shenhua face Guangzhou Evergrade.
