Dalung Blames AFN Crisis On Ibrahim Gusua

The crisis of AFN started while i was in office, immediately after their election the Board divided over the result of election.

One of the board members went to CAS and joined Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports as defendant and it was the ministry that paid the legal fees. At CAS, he lost the case and the division as a result of not accepting defeat aggravated the crisis and was compounded by by the president of AFN because immediately after the inauguration he failed to carry every member along. So, he was running the Board with only two members, Sunday Adeleye and Solomon Ogba.

The funds received from government, and from international Association was managed by th three of them.

And while this was happening, nobody told me anything and as a result i dont know anything, my attention was called when the majority of the Board who were carried along wanted to suspend the president.

And invited the aggrieved members and addressed them and they told me their grievances and advised them tonight and put their houses in order.

While this was going on, the congress of athletes (the constituency that elected Sunday Adeleye as Athletes Representative), they met and decided that they have removed him as their representative.
