Deaflympics: Nigeria To Take Part In The Qualifiers

Team Nigeria is among the countries listed to take part in this year's Deaflympics qualifiers which are set to be hosted by Kenya,

Twenty-three countries had initially committed to the event but the number was reduced to 16 due to financial constraints and Covid-19 related issues.
Team Nigeria alongside Mali, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Gambia, Zanzibar, Somaliland, Gabon, Egypt, Libya, Liberia, Cameroon, and Mauritania are the countries that have confirmed their readiness to participate.

Kenya was picked to stage this prestigious deaf championship following the successful hosting of the Deaf Athletics Championship in Nairobi in 2019.
The event is being used to pick African qualifiers for the 2022 Deaflympics in Brazil.
