Deji Ayeni Replaces Gbenga Ogunbote As Sunshine Coach By Uche Dozie Sunshine Stars have confirmed the appointment of Deji Ayeni as the club's new head coach till the end of the season, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The former Cynosure coach is to take over from coach Gbenga Ogunbote who resigned last week following a poor run of form by the Owena Whales. He will be assisted by Adeyemi Kayode, Kamil Folarin, Kayode Emmanuel and Olu Busuyi. Ayeni who coaches NNL side Ekiti United was reported to have been present at Sunshine Stars match against Lobi Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium at the weekend. The new gaffer is saddled with the task of getting the team back to winning ways and avoid relegation. Sunshine currently sits eighteenth on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) log with twenty-one points. The former Kwara United and defunct Prime FC defender began his managerial career with Prime FC now Osun United, with a successful stints. Reports say the tactician will put pen to paper by Wednesday the same day he will be unveiled.
