Delta State FA Postpones Election Indefinitely
The Delta State Football Association Elections earlier Scheduled for the 13th of June, 2019, has been postponed indefinitely as a new date will be communicated to stakeholders.
In a statement released by the State Football Assosciation Secretary, Ogosi Azuka made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng, which affirmed the postponement of the elections till further notice also added that the chaos woukd be settled before the election can be conducted.
Recall that the Chairman of Delta state sports commission Tonobok Okowa was reported to lobby for the chairman position of Delta state football Association.
The very ambitious younger brother to the Delta state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has succeeded in discouraging veterans who once has interest to man the position.
First the spectacle spotted Okowa reject the acting DFA Chairman Edema Fuludu who has sacrificed to sustain the DFA after he also discourage chairman Austin Jay Jay Okocha to look incompetent to do the Fa job.
According to information reaching BSN Sports he further used Victor Ikpeba as a sacrificial lamp to battle Edema Fuludu for the position but may realized that he cannot use the former Prince of Monaco to do his dirty bidding once he emerged the position, rather, Tobobok who is gradually rubbishing the Governor Okowa legacy resort to pick one Lucky Sunday who once embezzled the state league sponsorship money thereby truncating the youth league for the position.
Meanwhile the likes of Sam Sodji, Harrison Osholor, Edema Fuludu, Victor Ikpeba and other great sports persons who have paid their dues for the job are not given the chance to serve to normalize the independence between the state and the FA.
The Ambitious Okowa now finally want to follow the Amaju Pinnick style by holding both position as Chairman of Sports Commission and FA Chairman.
However, many wonder why his aids Steve Cole, Moses Etu cannot be sincere among themselves to tell their boss the truth.
