  Delta State To Host 2022 National Sports Festival By Sampson Adedeji Delta State has been announced as the host state for the next edition of the National Sports Festival, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Curtains were drawn on the 20th edition of the festival hosted by Edo State with Delta State winning the games for the second consecutive time. Four states including Kano, Kaduna, Delta State and Oyo State have shown interest in hosting the 21st National Sports Festival. Delta State was awarded the hosting right of the 21st edition of the event slated for 2022. Team Delta emerged as the champions of the 20th edition with 158 gold, 116 silver, and 110 bronze. Team Edo, the host, came second with 129 gold, 104 silver, and 108 bronze while Team Bayelsa finished a third with 56 gold, 55 silver, and 58 bronze.
