Deputy Governor Threatens To Withdraw Team From NPFL

Edo state Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Phillip Shuaibu has threatened to withdraw Bendel Insurance over bad officiating by the match officials, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The deputy governor made the statement in Edo state after Bendel Insurance 1-1 draw with Rivers United.

Shuaibu who was infuriated after the match said he would not hesitate to call the team from participating in the league if officiating by the match officials continues the way they have been operating.

"We will not hesitate to quit the league if officials continue to treat Insurance this way. This match is not the first one that the match officials deny Bendel Insurance opportunity to win matches. We may be forced to abandon the league if nothing is done to correct the wrongs."
