Diamond League: Okagbare finishes 8th in Zurich

It was not a sweet end for Nigeria Sprint queen, Blessing Okagare at the final leg of the Diamond League in Zurich, Switzerland.

BSN reports, Okagbare left the camp of Team Nigeria in Rabat Morocco at the ongoing 12th African Games to take part in the final of the 200 meters in Zurich.

It was Bahamas Miller Uibo Shaunae that eventually won the race and set another world record 21.74s.

Great Britain's Dina Asher Smith finished in the second place with 22.08s and Jamaica's Elaine Thompson in the third position 22.44s.

Okagbare finished in the distant 8th position with a time of 22.62s and dropped one step down to her last performance .

The energetic sprint star will have her eye set on the Athletics championship slated for Doha later this year to recapture her form.
