Didier Drogba's Ivorian FA Presidency Bid Suffers Another Blow

By Editor

Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba quest for Ivorian Football Federation presidency suffered another blow this week after a crucial voting block endorsed his opponent.

The Association of Football Doctors on Thursday endorsed the current vice-president Sory Diabate's candidacy in the forthcoming elections.

The endorsement announcement will take the wind out of Drogba's sails as elections come close. His candidature has been snubbed by crucial lobby groups including former players, referees, coaches and now the doctors have all thrown their weight behind Sory Diabate.

The battle for the presidency of the FIF is now shaping up as a contest between Idriss Diallo and Sory Diabaté as Drogba seems to be losing out slowly.
