Dilichukwu, FCT Golf Association Chairman Thank FCT Minister Over Land Gift

Director, FCT Sports Department, Chief Mrs. Dilichukwu Onyedinnma and Chairman, FCT Golf Association, Engineer Ladapo Rotimi have thanked FCT minister, Malam Muhammad Bello over a piece of land he gave to the association for sports development, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Dilichukwu while speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng heap praises on the minister adding that such decision by the minister will take the game of golf to Abuja residents which in turn will bring about development of the game in the nation's capital.

"Minister's interest has always been on sports development in the nation's capital. We thank him for the hand gift as this will go a long way in talent discovery. "

Engineer Ladapo on Saturday during FCT Presidential Golf Competition at IBB Golf Course Maitama, hailed the minister and also encourage Nigerians and particularly Abuja residents to take advantage of the facility to play the game.

Ladapo who had promised to take the game to secondary school to bring out talents in Abuja youths believe that the land gift will further hasten such initiative.

"We commend the efforts of the minister for the gift. This shows he is interested in grassroots sports development. We have said that we will take the game to secondary. This will hasten our action to discover young talented golfers at the grassroots level."
