Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has urged fans of the team not to panic over their recent loss to Czech Republic in their last warm up game before the start of the World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria were beaten 0-1 by a Czech Republic who are not going to be at the World Cup and the defeat has led to concerns about how Nigeria will fare in their group where they are up against Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
The loss was the the second the Nigerians have suffered in four days as it came after the 1-2 loss to England on Saturday, coupled with the 1-1 draw against Congo DR, the Nigerian team who were also beaten by Serbia 0-2 in another friendly are without a win in their last four games.
However coach of the team Rohr says there is no cause for alarm over their recent run of poor results and he is confident that the team will be ready for the challenge of the World Cup in ten days time, which is when they will take on Croatia in their opening group D game.
” “I don’t worry about friendly results. We are not ready now for the World Cup but we will be ready in 10 days”, Rohr said after the game.
