DOHA 2019, Alowonle picks Semifinal ticket

The hope of Team Nigeria to pick medals in the ongoing 2019 Athletics championship in Doha came alive on Friday as 400 meters men's Hurdle specialist Rilwan Alowonle qualified for Semifinal, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

The sleeky athlete competed in the heat 3 of men's Hurdle on Friday and finished 4th position with a time of 50.4.

Qatar's Abdurama Samba won the heat with a time of 49.08 ahead of Japan's Takatoshe Abe while American TJ Holmes finished in 3rd position.

This is first time Alowonle will be representing the country in the Athletics Championship.
