DONE DEAL: Super Eagles Striker Completes Move To New Club By Admin [caption id="attachment_5511" align="alignnone" width="300"] Aaron Samuel with new club, Beitar Jerusalem[/caption] Out of favour Super Eagles striker, Aaron Samuel is set to pick up his club career again after being limited owing to injuries in the past seasons. Samuel has now finally linked up with Israeli club, Beitar Jerusalem where he has penned a one-year contract with an option of another season. Samuel has been without a club after leaving Russian Premier League club, CSKA Moscow by mutual consent this summer. He initially joined Viktor Goncharenko’s side on loan from the Chinese club Guangzhou R&F in 2016. The Nigeria international made his move permanent after putting pen on paper in a four-and-a-half-year deal in January 2017. And following his struggle to earn a place in the first team owing to fitness concerns, the VEB Arena outfit announced that they have parted ways with the striker who spent last season on loan at Amkar Perm. ‘Nigerian striker Aaron Olanare left the Army club today by mutual agreement. We wish Aaron all the best in his future career,’ the club then announced on their website. However, there is a new lease of life for Samuel as a tweet on Beitar Jerusalem’s official Twitter handle on Friday confirmed his move to Jerusalem. “He is yellow: Aaron Olaniran officially signed for the club until the end of the season with an option for another season,” the tweet read. Samuel will wear jersey number 40 at the club and will hope the move will help him relaunch his international career. Beitar Jerusalem’s next league game is against Ashdod on Sunday, October 21 and the Samuel will hope to make his debut in the game. The widely travelled striker has featured for European clubs like; Valerenga, Sarpsborg 08, Amker Perm and CSKA Moscow. He also once had stints in the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou R&F and featured in the Nigeria Professional Football League for the defunct Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt and Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan. Beitar Jerusalem currently occupy the last position in the Israeli Premier League after six round of matches and they would be hoping that their new Nigerian import can help turn things around soonest.
