Premier League side Watford have confirmed via their official website the signing of Nigeria-eligible youngster Joseph Hungbo.

Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported last week that the Hornets were in advanced talks to sign the promising winger.

Hungbo has penned a one-year contract and will be part of Watford's development squad in the upcoming season.

The 19-year-old had been in search of a new club following his release by Crystal Palace at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.

Hungbo is expected to form a good partnership with attack-minded whizkid Jayden Bennetts and versatile midfielder Emmanuel Adebiyi in the new season.

The Vicarage Stadium outfit have also announced the signing of central defender Jamal Balogun who parted company with Reading last month. The 19-year-old has inked a one-year contract.
