Dosu
By Sampson Adedeji Former Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Joseph Dosu has urged Nigerians to be patience with the present goalkeepers in the Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Since the exit of Vincent Enyeama having a steady first choice goalkeeper has become a subject of discussions for football followers across the country and beyond. Francis Uzoho was in goal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Daniel Akpeyi kept the goal in 2019 African Cup Of Nations in Egypt. Due to injury, Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye seems to have seized the position from Uzoho while Akpeyi inconsistent form has also kept him out. Dosu made the statement after Okoye kept another clean sheet in the match day 5 of the African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Squirrel of Benin Republic. " I think Nigeria is blessed in goalkeeping all of them are outside there either in Nigeria or Europe but all we need to do is patience. It doesn't mean that when one make a mistake we started to castigate him, I think is not good enough," he said.
