DR Congo Govt To Fund Clubs Transportation

Ahead of the new professional football league season, the government of Democratic Republic of Congo has decided to go the way of Ghana government by funding the transportation of clubs that will take part in the league season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Ghana government few weeks back announced that it will foot the transportation bills of clubs that will partake in the new league season as a way cushioning the effect of covid 19.
According to reports clubs in DRC will benefit from a government as a subsidy and It was during the Council of Ministers on Friday, September 4 that the decisions was arrive at.
“After a long period of truce from the LINAFOOT championship following COVID-19, it will soon resume.
In this regard, at the initiative of the President of the Republic, the Council of Ministers has lifted the option of helping the teams involved in this competition by covering their transport costs throughout the championship.
To do this, the Council of Ministers has instructed the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Budget, the Ministers of Finance and Sports to take, each in his sphere of competence, all the necessary arrangements for the materialization of this option ” , reads -on in the report of this council of ministers.
This decision is one of the first that the DRC government takes in favor of the league which had not yet received public aid until now.
