DR Congo Rejects CAF Disciplinary Committee’s Ruling on Guélor Kanga By Uche Dozie Congolese Football Federation have rejected CAF Disciplinary Committee’s ruling on Guélor Kanga and has filed an appeal led by the FA President Constant Omari, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The federation made the news known in a statement released through footdrc. "The Congolese Football Association has just appealed to the African Football Confederation following the decision rendered on Wednesday May 26, 2021 by the Disciplinary Jury of CAF on the denunciation of the eligibility of the player "Guelor Kanga Kaku" said the body led by Constant Omari. Basically, she does not agree with the decision of CAF to "reject outright its complaint" against Gabon. It will be recalled that CAF Disciplinary Committee had rejected DR Congo’s complaint leveled against Guélor Kanga and confirmed Gabon’s participation at the 2021 African Cup of Nations on Wednesday. This was after DR Congo failed to provide concrete evidence and hence made their complaints very weak. The Gabon International player was born in 1990 but his mother was born in 1986. Gabon have qualified for the 2021 Afcon in Cameroon but they need to convince CAF that Guelor Kanga, was indeed eligible to play for them after DRC filed a case of age falsification.
