DSS
By Niyi Busari Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has described the continuing siege by the officials of the Department of Security Service, DSS at the Nigeria Football Federation headquarters as the impunity overstretch, Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports) reports. Dalung admitted that no arm of Nigeria government will act in contrary to the court orders because they took oath of office to protect the Nigerian constitution. "There is no way any arm of government will contradict the law of the land because we all took the oath of office and it is important we respect the constitution of the country. " We have three arms of government; the legislature, executive and judiciary. The judiciary is the only competent arm that can vacate the court orders. And if government assisted in a way that breaks the law the citizens have no business obeying the law of the land made by the system. "So, there is no arm of government this that will involve in the disobedience of court order under President Muhammadu Buhari. " So, what is happening at the NFF by the taking over of the glasshouse by the officials of the DSS is impunity overstretch." Solomon Dalung who was reacting to BSN Sports reporter over the siege of the DSS at the NFF in his office in Abuja said the impunity displaying by many people in power will come to an end soon. For the past few weeks, the DSS have been in the news for all the wrong reasons which initially began at the where they installed Amaju Pinnick group as the board that run Nigeria football contrary to what court of the land says. And just yesterday, they also laid siege at the national assembly that led to the sack and arrest of the former DG of DSS Lawal Daura.
