D'Tigers returns to Nigeria

After picking the Tokyo 2020 Olympic ticket, Nigeria's D'Tigers returned to the country on Thursday afternoon, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

BSN reports that the Nigeria side defeated South Korea in their last group match at the FIBA men's World Cup after losing the first two matches to Russia and Argentina,

The team bounced back strongly in the classification matches against African brother Cote d'Ivoire and host China to secure Olympic ticket.

The team led by coach Alex Nwora touched down at Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Thursday and supporters and well wishers were on hand to welcome the team.

D'Tigers qualification for Tokyo 2020, make it third consecutive time the team will be appearing at the Olympic having participated in 2012 and 2016.
