The third quarter was closer, with Nigeria winning 8-14 before continuing their domination in the fourth with a 4-point quarter lead.
Meanwhile, Nigeria's D'Tigers ended their 2021 FIBA AfroBasket campaign on a sour note with a 68-80 loss to lowly-rated Uganda in Kigali. Uganda finished the group phase as Group D's third-placed team while the Nigerian side simply failed to come to the party.
However, Julius Nwosu men having lost the first group game of the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifier to Cape Verde (71-79), defeated Mali with slim win (72-70) before thrashing Uganda 95-69 to record the second straight win to qualify for the second round of the competition.
