Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr is not a happy man despite pretending to be so because the Franco-German Coach is currently facing financial stress due to unpaid bonuses and salaries by his employer- The Nigeria Football Federation.
A close and competent sources to the Eagles handler revealed to BSN Sports that the Coach has been keeping quiet all these while in order not to rock the boat as well as not to be seen to be rubbishing the administration of the NFF headed by his friends Amaju Pinnick.
"Let me be very honest with you Gernot Rohr is very broke and not happy that the NFF has not paid his 2018 World Cup qualification bonus barely a year after leading the team to qualify for the competition that was held in Russia in June this year.
"What pained him more is the fact that virtually everybody associated with the team namely the Super Eagles players that contributed to the qualification, other coaches and members of the backroom staff of the team have all been paid except him (Rohr), the impeccable source also revealed.
What makes the matter worst is the fact that the NFF has allegedly further breached the contractual agreement signed by Rohr by also failing to pay his two months outstanding salaries of October 2018 and November 2018 salaries up till this report was filed.
"You know that there is no 'Oyinbo' (white man) that jokes with his salary. As we speak the Nigeria Football Federation has also not paid him (Rohr) his October and November 2018 salaries unlike what was being reported in the media that his three months salaries up till December 2018 have been paid up to date", the source further clarified.
