Odion Ighalo opened scoring for Manchester United in their Emirate FA Cup quarter final 2-1 win over Norwich City.

His goal propelled the Red Devils to the semifinals of the competition at the Wembley stadium. The 2019 AFCON highest goal scorer has now scored on all four of his start for Manchester United across all competitions.

Chidozie Awaziem was in action while Kenneth Omeruo was benched in relegation threatened Leganes’ 2-1 away defeat at Osasuna in Saturday’s LaLiga clash.

Awaziem, making his 22nd league appearance of the season, was in the starting eleven before he was replaced in the 46th minute.

Enric Gallego opened scoring for Osasuna on nine minutes but Javier Aviles drew Leganes level on 50 minutes.

And in the 96th minute Gallego netted the winner to secure the three points for Osasuna.

Leganes are now winless in five consecutive games (three defeats and two draws) since football returned in Spain.

They are in the drop zone in 19th position on 25 points, seven points from safety.

And in the Serie A, Ola Aina featured for Torino who lost 4-2 away to Cagliari.

Aina was replaced with 16 minutes left in the encounter which was Aina’s 23rd of the season for Torino.

The defeat to Cagliari leaves Torino in 14th position on 31 points and are six points away from the relegation spot.

In Germany, Super Eagles striker, Anthony Ujah and his compatriot, Suleiman Abdullahi were on score sheet for Union Berlin in their comfortable 3-0 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf in their last match of the season.

Jamilu Collins featured in Paderborn’s final fixture of the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season which they lost 3-2 away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Collins played for 90 minutes in the game which was his 30th Bundesliga appearance for relegated Paderborn.

It was Paderborn’s fourth straight defeat which saw them winless in their last 15 games of the season (10 defeats, five draws).

They finish bottom on 20 points in the 18-team league table.

Super Eagles new invitee Kingsley Ehizibue saw action for 90 minutes but could not prevent FC Cologne from getting hammered 6-1 away to Werder Bremen.

The game was Ehizibue’s 31st league outing for Cologne who ended in 14th on 36 points in the final standing and did not win any of their last 10 games (four draws and six defeats).

And in another final day fixture, Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee was on the losing side as Augsburg lost 2-1 at home to RB Leipzig.

Sarenren-Bazee was brought on with five minutes left in the game which was his ninth appearance in the Bundesliga scoring one goal.

Augsburg will feature in the German top flight next season after finishing 15th on 36 points despite failing to win their last three games.

Meanwhile, the final Champions League qualification spot – fourth position – went to Borussia Mönchengladbach who beat Hertha Berlin 2-1 to edge Bayer Leverkusen and end on 65 points.

Despite their 1-0 away against Mainz, Leverkusen ended in fifth on 63 points and will be play in the Europa League next season.

Bayern Munich ended the campaign on 82 points and are followed by Borussia Dortmund on 69 points and Leipzig in third place on 66 points.

In Sweden, Quadri Attah scored first goal of the season in his team, Oestersund FK 2-4 home loss to IFK Norrkoeping. The former Nasarawa United striker found tge back of the net in the 51st minute, and was subbed off in the 89th minute.
