Nigeria Football Federation will release the result of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test for invited players of the national U17 team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burkina Faso, Cote d’ Ivoire, and Benin Republic next month.
And according a team official there is tension in the camp of the Golden Eaglets as, those who are above 17 years are set to ejected from the team. “The tension over the results is killing,” a team official admitted.
And this will be coming less than three weeks to their opening U17 AFCON qualifier on September 3 against Burkina Faso in Niger Republic.
The MRI age tests have been completed with 40 players. Coach Manu Garba is now expected to name his final 20-man squad for the zonal qualifiers from the successful players.
Cote d’Ivoire and Benin Republic are the other teams pitched against the Eaglets in the zonal qualifiers in Niger, which kicks off on September 2.
