Eberechi Eze Delighted To Lift Another Best Player Award At Palace

  Crystal Palace of England midfielder, Eberechi Eze has disclosed how delighted he is after winning The Eagles’ best player of the monh award for a second time this season, BSNSport.com.ng reports. The Nigerian-born dazzler is only in his very first season since arriving at Selhurst Pak from Queens Park Rangers, but his heroics have again seen him rewarded as the best player in Roy Hodgson’s team for the month for January. Monday’s recognition was the second time the 22-year-old scooped the monthly accolade in his debut Premier League season after he won the prize in November. Last month, the dredlocks-wearing Eze helped Palace win two of their five English Premier League matches, with his contribution of two goals, threby affirming his status as a very promising lad in the squad. The England under-21 international now has a tally of three goals and three assists after 20 league appearances for Hodgson’s side before the start of this season. He started the year with his stunning strike that sealed a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on January 2, and he closed the month with the match-winning goal that gave the Eagles a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 30. Eze’s contributions were not ignored by the fans who gave him 36 percent of their votes to win the award while Vicente Guaita and Jairo Riedewald followed in the second and third spots respectively. The 22-year-old has been outstanding since he moved to Selhurst Park on a five-year deal from Queens Park Rangers in August and his beautiful solo strike against Sheffield United has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month for January. Eze, whose efforts have kep Th Eagles at 13th on the EPL log,level on 29 points with Leeds United, was baming with all smiles after Palace disclosed: “🏆 You voted @EbereEze10 as the W88 Player of the Month! #CPFC | http://cpfc.co.uk.”
