Nigeria Professional Football League defending champion, Lobi Stars defenders, Ebube Duru, and John Lazarus believed the team can retain the NPFL title this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The duo who were in action for Lobi Stars in their 2-1 matchday 10 win against Remo Stars insisted that Lobi can cope with the pressure that will come from playing in the continent and the domestic games.
Lazarus who spoke with www.bsnsports.com.g said: "Our focus of retaining the league from the beginning of the season has not changed. We know the pressure that will come from combination of playing in the domestic and in the continent and with the calibre of coach and players in the team, we will emerge champions again this season."
In the same vein, Ebube Duru believed that the team is well motivated to go all out and win the league.
"We have all it takes to defend the NPFL title this season. We are well motivated by the state government and club management ahead of the season. And nothing can stop us from defending the title."
Yaya Kone scored his second at the death of the game to give Lobi Stars FC all three points against Remo Stars FC in Match Day 10 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Ebube Duru was substituted in the second half while John Lazarus was on for the whole duration.
