Ebuehi wins first title with Benfica

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Tyrone Ebuehi won his first trophy in Portugal on Sunday night in colour of Benfica, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The utility defender spent whole of last season in the treatment room after suffering an injury in the preseason match against Besiktas of Turkey.

Benfica on Sunday night defeated Sporting Lisbon 5-0 in the Portugal Super Cup with Ebuehi named on the bench for whole duration of the match.

Ebuehi who was part of Super Eagles team to Russia 2018 World Cup missed 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt due to injury.

He joined the Portuguese side last summer from the Dutch Eredivisie side Ado Den Haag.
