  Edo 2020: Obaseki, Minister To Decide On Thursday By Sampson Adedeji After various postponement, Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki and Minister of Youth and sports, Sunday Dare are expected to decide the fate of the National Sports Festival on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Sports Festival was earlier scheduled for March 2020 but has to be suspended indefinitely due to the outbreak of Coronavirus which affected sporting activities across the country. April 2nd to 14th, 2021 has been announced as the starting date but final decision has to come as the date draw closer. According to the report, Minister is expected to arrive Benin, Edo State on Thursday afternoon and meet with the governor in order to take the final decision on the event. Abuja was the last state to host the festival under former minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung.
