  Osinbajo Shuns National Sports Festival Opening Ceremony By Niyi Busari Nigeria Vice-president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has shunned the opening ceremony event where he was expected to declare the event opened. Many were disappointed as he was expected at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium where thousands of Nigerians were waiting for him to listen to his speech. President Muhammadu Buhari was originally scheduled to declare open the 20th National Sports Festival but his absence in the country made Osinbajo to step in to represent the president. The vice-president who was in Benin City had visited Oba of Benin, before he changed his mind to return back to Abuja. From all indication, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare will step in to declare the Edo 2020. Two events were scheduled to be performed by the vice-president, the Opening Ceremony and commissioning of renovated stadium.
