  Edo 2020: President Buhari To Flag Off Festival April 6th. By Omolagba Oluwayemi The long awaited National Youth Festival, Edo 2020 is set to finally take place after suffering many postponements, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The festival which is built to help discover new sporting talents across the nation and also to foster relationships between the youths suffered many delays ranging from the covid-19 scenario, down to lack of fund complain by the host state but all that have been resolved now and the tournament is getting closer to its opening ceremonies. The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, today said the timeline for Edo 2020 is between April 2nd and 14th, 2021. While the camp opens April 2 for screening and other pre-tournaments exercises will take place before the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to declare it officially opened on April 6th. The tournament which will run for a period of nine days is expected to produce athletes who will be saddled with the responsibility of representing Nigeria in international events in the nearest future.
