  Edo 2020: Team Edo Are Men's And Women's Football Champions By Niyi Busari Team Edo came from a 2-0 down to outscore Team Lagos 3-2 in a very tough men's football event final at the University of Benin on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Deputy Governor of Edo State who doubles as Local Organizing Committee, Phillip Shuaibu saw a five-minute action coming as a substitute in the men's final to lead Edo to podium finish in the event. Earlier on Monday, in the women's final, Team Edo had pipped Team Lagos 1-0 to claim the gold medal. The women's final ended up with free-for-all fight when the fourth official added one minute as extra time which didn't go down well with fans, players and officials of Team Lagos. Meanwhile, Team FCT, the defending champions defeated Team Imo 5-4 on penalties in the third place to claim the bronze medal. In the women's third place match, Team Delta mauled Team Kaduna 3-1 to emerge Third best team.
