Edo state stadium construction workers attack, rob Sports Journalist in the line of duty. By Admin Popular Sports journalist Clarkson Ogo was brutally attacked by Edo state stadium construction workers over failure to apply safety caution in the line of duty. According to report, one of the leaders of SLS construction workers known as Abiodun was alleged to have ordered the group of workers to attack the journalist when they noticed that the journalist took a picture of one their colleague whose hand was stocked inside a cement mixer machine because of negligence. The victim pained-noise attracted the journalist who took the picture but the hoodlums called construction workers under Peculiar Adeleke, the contractor, took and break the phones of the journalist and also carted away some money from him. Others who could be laid their hands on industrial tools hit him for trying to expose their casual and careless manner. The workers are given the renovation of the Sam Ogbemudia stadium. It was not clear if the hand of the construction worker was cut off since the picture was deleted from the journalist mobile device. However, it took the intervention of the stadium manager and the former Edo state FA secretary, Victor Idokpayi to rescue the journalist after the injured worker was rushed to the hospital.
