EFCC Releases Dikko, Sanusi on Administrative Bail, Detains Accountant For Over a Month

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday night released Nigeria Football Federation Secretary General, Muhammed Sanusi and NFF second vice president, Shehu Dikko on administrative bail, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
According to NFF staff who does not want his name mentioned, told BSN Sports that the Nigeria anti-graft agency had invited the NFF chieftains to their Lagos zonal office to clear their names on several allegations of mismanagement of public funds. They were however, released on Monday night on administrative bail and on condition to reappear before EFCC for further investigation on 13th of September, 2019.
The source also revealed that the NFF chief accountant, Jafaru Mamza have been in the anti-graft agency's net for more than one month. Our reporter gathered that he was detained for allegedly warehousing NFF money (public funds) into his personal account without approval from account general.
Before the invitation and administrative release of Dr Sanusi Mohammed and Shehu Dikko, the CEO Padmozi Sports Marketing (NFF marketing accounting firm), Mike Itemuagbo was reportedly detained for three days before he was granted bail. He was accused of paying NFF money (public funds) into individual accounts.
BSN Sports efforts to reach NFF secretary general, Dr Muhammed Sanusi and 2nd vice-president Shehu Dikko to air their side of the allegation hit the brick wall as their phone numbers could not be reached after several attempts.
