Five ex-internationals on Thursday hailed the partnership deal that was sealed between Waldorf Knoll Academy and Water FC, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Eguavoen, Daniel 'The Bull' Amokachi, Taribo West, Garba Lawal and Victor Ikpeba were some of the important personalities that graced the occasion and also thumped up the partnership between the school and the football academy.

Speaking immediately after sealing the deal, former Super Eagles captain, Austin Eguavoen said:

"When we were young in the 70's, all schools have sports facilities but this generation do not enjoy that again. But the beautiful thing about this partnership is that the school has the world class facilities for sports and the Water FC have the expertise to train young talents to stardom.

"It is very important that they tell us that they incorporated everything and not just education at young age, if you have a talent they will try to bring out that talent. Austin Eguavoen told BSN Sports.

Former AS Monaco striker, Victor Ikpeba after seeing the facilities in the school said: "This is one school in Africa that is serious about combination of education, sports, music and art. No doubt, with this, Nigeria's future is brighter than i can imagine. With this, talented children will be discovered and nurture from the cradle. Learning is not just about being in the classroom, outdoor activities also have a positive impact."

Waldorf Knoll, a world-class school located near Jabi lake is the first educational center in Africa to facilitate education via digital classrooms. The outside area of the school is equipped to stimulate students not only physical but also using logic and perception with brand new facilities purposely designed to give students the best learning experience.

Water FC which own a 2,000 capacity stadium in Apo, Abuja and have produced players who have played for Nigeria at the FIFA world cup. Water FC produced Babatunde Michael who was adjudged the Nigeria second best player at the 2014 world cup, Success Makanjuola and Emeka Chinonso also played for the Nigeria's Flying Eagles at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
