Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) head of technical department, Austin Eguavoen has hailed newly invited Super Eagles players with the way they acquitted themselves, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Two new players Innocent Bonke and Kingsley Micheal made their debut for Nigeria in the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde and contributed their quota to the 1-2 away win.
Both players continued to receive applause from stakeholders, fans, and supporters of the team.
Former Nigeria international while speaking on a radio interview praised the players and urges players to always be ready when call upon to the national team.
"If you call upon to play for Super Eagles at any time, you should be ready that was why Gernot Rohr came up with such a number, he always planned, and that these players from the UK region will be on the trip to Cape Verde.
That's why he invited so many players and those players that stood for the ones that left are not new to it because they are all playing in the big leagues and at one point played for Nigeria," he said.
