Egypt Announces Olympic Squad For South Africa Games Egypt Olympic team head coach Shawky Gharib has named the squad that is set to face South Africa in two friendlies early on this month. The fixtures are to be played on the 10th and 13th of June, in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics scheduled to begin on the 23rd of July. Egypt were placed in the group of death alongside Spain, Argentina, and Australia, with the final squad to be announced on the 30th of June. But for the South Africa friendlies, the most notable called-up names are Pyramids’ Ramadan Sobhi, Al Ahly’s duo Taher Mohamed Taher and Salah Mohsen, as well as Galatasaray forward Mostafa Mohamed. Another one to keep an eye on is the addition of promising Wolfsburg player Omar Marmoush, who spent last season out on loan at FC St. Pauli.
