Makkasa Unveils Amuneke
By Sampson Adedeji
Egyptian Premier league side Misr El Makkasa has unveiled former Nigeria's Junior teams head coach Emmanuel Amuneke as their new head coach.
The 49-year-old also led Nigeria’s U-17 side to win the World Cup, in 2015 in Viña del Mar, Chile, before having a one-year stint with Sudanese side Al-Khartoum, BSN Reports.
In his nine games in charge with Tanzania, he won on two occasions, drew once and lost six times.
El Makkasa is struggling in the league and they sit 15th, just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
This led them to appoint former Barcelona and Sporting CP winger Emmanuel Amunike, with the Nigerian signing a deal until the end of the season.
Amunike’s first game in charge will be when El-Makkasa visit eigthth place Smouha on Monday, February 3rd at the Alexandria Stadium.
