Ekong Says He Can't Wait For Eagles Return

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong has stated that he missed playing for the National team.

The team last played together in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Lesotho before the suspension of the competition due to outbreak of Corona virus, BSN Reports.

Ekong was among the players invited for the double header qualifier against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone before CAF suspended the matches indefinitely.

The Udinese player expressed missing the National team set up on Monday night via his social media handle.

"Missing this feeling! Can’t wait to be back with my brothers!" he wrote.

Ekong was the hero for Nigeria in the quarter final match of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt as he netted the winning goal against Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
