Ekong Targets Premier League with Watford

Watford new acquisition and Super Eagles defender, William Troost Ekong, has stated that playing in the premier league remains his top priority, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ekong joined English championship side Watford FC from Italia Serie A side Udinese on Tuesday after he completed his medical.

While speaking to BBC Africa, Ekong said he believed in the project of the Hornet, that they can secure promotion back to the Premier league in no distant future.

"I believe in the project for Watford to get back into the Premier League," the 27 year-old told BBC Sport Africa.

"It's always been my dream to play in the Premier League and Watford has given me the platform now to get there. Looking at the squad, I believe we have the quality to do it."

"I've always made tactical decisions for my career and this felt like the right step now for me and my family," he added.
