Emenike set to join Westerlo

After being out of action for almost a year former Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike is set to rejuvenate his career in Belgium.

The report coming from Belgium indicated that Emenike resumed training on Tuesday morning with KVV Westerlo with his representative continue negotiating with the club management.

The power playing forward last played on loan from Greece side Olympiakos to Spanish side Las Palmas where he made 5 appearances for the club.

Westerlo confirmed his participation in training on Tuesday via club social media handle.

"A new face in the training this morning KVC Westerlo is in conversations with Emmanuel Emenike. In anticipation of a possible agreement and is already training with our Kamphanen", the club wrote.

Emenike who was part of Nigeria's Super Eagles team that emerged champion of Africa in 2013 in South Africa, made 37 appearances for Nigeria and netted 9 goals.
