Emirate FA Cup: Tom-Dele Bashiru debut, scores in Watford draw

Nigeria's U23 Super Eagles midfielder Tom-Dele Bashiru on Saturday made his senior debut for the English premier league side Watford in their Emirate cup draw against Transmere Rovers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 20-year old skilful player was part of Nigeria's Flying Eagles team to 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland and was one of the star performer in the team.

He joined the Hornet in the last summer transfer from the English champions Manchester City on a 6 year deal.

Tom-Dele Bashiru started his first game for the Hornets in the cup game and also make it count as he opened the scoring in the 12th minute.

Goals from Nathaniel Chalobah and Roberto Pereyya ensured that Watford ended the half with a 3 goals advantage.

The away side siezed the control of the game in the second stanza and it paid off with goals from Connor Jennings, Emmanuel Monthe and Paul Mullin, the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
