Emmanuel Okala Chairs PFAN 16-man Elders Council

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Emmanuel Okala has been announced as the Chairman of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, PFAN, Elders Council, BSNSports.com.ng can confirm.
PFAN president, Tijani Babangida on Monday approved the 16-man Council which consists of Ex-Super Eagles players.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Players Union Secretary General, Emmanuel Babayaro which reads; "The PFAN President Tijani Babangida has approved the appointment of the following as members of the ELDERS COUNCIL, they are; Emmanuel Okala (Chairman), Dr. Felix Owolabi (Vice Chairman), Kadiri Ikhana, Christian Chukwu, Segun Odegbami, Bitrus Bewarang, Ismaila Mabo, Shefiu Mohamed, Paul Obire- secretary, Emmanuel Tetteh Okonkwo, James Peters, Francis Monidafe, Mike Okotie, Josiah Dombraye, Ben Duamlong, and Stanley Okoronkwo.
As the name implies, the council is saddled with the responsibility of stabilizing the union through advocacy, counseling and promotion of dialogue.
They shall be presented as the Union’s rallying point and shall be engaged by the Union’s leadership from time to time.
The PFAN President describes this appointments as one of the best as it typifies 'The Labor of our Heroes Past shall never be in vain.'
He further enjoins all PFAN members especially executives to give our Elders the necessary support.
The council shall be inaugurated on a scheduled date.
