Encomium, Congratulations Pour In As Kola Daniel Appointed SA Media To Minister of Sports

Journalists and sports stakeholders in Nigeria congratulated and poured encomium on the newly appointed Special Adviser to minister of youth and sports, Mr Sunday Dare.

Following the announcement and resumption in his office on Tuesday as special adviser on media to the sports minister, Sunday Dare well meaning Nigeria shut down the social media to wish him the best and prayed that God gives him wisdom to succeed in his new appointment.

SCORENigeria Publisher Samm Audu said the appointment did not come as a surprise as Daniel’s drive to succeed is very rare at a time of serious challenges for sports journalism in Nigeria.

“Kola’s boundless energy and drive for professionalism have stood him out at a most trying time for the noble profession in the country,” he said.

“We wish him well in his new role.”

Former Flying Eagles coach John Obuh said the appointment was a reward for hard work.

“Big congratulations to the hard worker Kola Daniel,” saluted Obuh.

“Your God has located you, make the best use of this opportunity as a lot is expected of you.”

Former Nigeria international Garba Lawal said it was a most deserved recognition.

“He has dedicated himself to journalism and I am happy that someone has now noticed his commitment,” he said.

“I wish him wisdom in his new role.”

Fellow journalist Adewale Ajayi called for total support for a worthy colleague.

“I appeal for support for our friend and brother Kola Daniel,” he urged.

“It’s a new adventure.

“It could be tough and rough, but I know he will succeed.”
