By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Bournemouth moved to the top of the Championship as two goals in each half saw them ruthlessly defeat Barnsley BSNsports.com.ng reports.
The Cherries led when Philip Billing found the bottom corner with a low strike from 20 yards 12 minutes into the game. The hosts failed to take numerous chances to level the game and were punished for it when Dominic Solanke added the second for the Cherries in the second additional minutes of the first half.
Diego Rico made it 3-0 with a fine free-kick which caught out Barnsley keeper Jack Walton and Sam Surridge raced forward to add the gloss with a tidy finish in the 68th minutes.
The victory moves Jason Tindall's side two points clear of Norwich, who will regain top spot if they beat Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday with Barnsley dropping to 15th
