Enugu State Emerge Winner As 1st National Grassroots Sports Festival Ends in Grand style

Enugu state top the medals table with 17 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze medals at the maiden National Grassroots Sport Festival that ends today at the training pitch of the National stadium Abuja.
The inaugural National Grassroots Sports Festival was declared open by Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports Development on Tuesday and ends with his closing remark on Saturday 28th April 2018.
The Ministers who is represented by the Director of Grassroots Sports Development, Ademola Are said that the sports ministry will continue to support the Chief Executive Officer of the of Elo-Pee Worldwide Television, Mr Angelo Peter Elosia in the subsequent editions.
Are said that the talents he witnessed at the maiden edition are good enough to win laurels for Nigeria if they are nurtured and given necessary supports.
"This is a welcome development for grassroots development in the country, the ministry is ready to give necessary supports to the National Grassroots Sports Festival in the subsequent editions.
" I am happy with the talents I saw here which gives hope to the country. However, due to funds scarcity in the country, some states cannot be here but it is a very good and successful starting point. I can assure everyone that the minister is ready to support the Grassroots International Sports Academy's sports programme."
Nigeria Olympic Committee President, Eng. Habu Gumel who was present in the opening and closing ceremonies of maiden NGSF, congratulated Mr. Agelo Peter Elosia for the success achieved in organising the first edition. Eng. Habu Gumel encourages other well-meaning Nigerians to borrow a leaf from Mr Peter Elosia by providing opportunity for youth and sports development in the country.
"Firstly, I want to congratulate the organiser of this programme, he has a vision and has already achieved it. This is massive and I am happy that I am part of this successful programme. Let use this opportunity to encourage other well-meaning Nigerians to borrow a leaf from Mr Peter Elosia and take youths out of the street by providing them with this platform to showcase their talents and from their become world champions."
The CEO of Elo-Pee Worldwide Television and organiser of National Grassroots Sports Festival, Mr Angelo Peter Elosia who was delighted and contented with what he witnessed in a successful maiden edition of the programme said: "I am just like a pregnant woman who just gave birth to a baby boy after nine months of pregnancy. I am happy to see the talents discovered in this edition are worthy of becoming world champions and we are going to support them till they reach the zenith of their careers."
Mr Angelo Peter revealed that the preparation for the second edition starts immediately as he announced the date for the next edition which starts from 25th April and ends 4th May 2019." He concluded.
