Enyimba Hit Libya On Chartered Flight For CAF Confederation Cup Game

Nigeria's lone club in the CAF club competition, Enyimba International have hit Libya ahead of their group game against Al-Ahly Benghazi, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Enyimba were reportedly stranded in Aba when the team could not get a direct flight from Nigeria to Libya and asked the African football governing body, CAF, to postpone the match but CAF insisted the match must go on as scheduled.
BSN Sports learned that Abia State government, the Nigeria Football Federation as well as the Ministry of Sports came in to rescue the two-time African champions from being worked over in the crucial match.
Meanwhile, Enyimba International last group game against Orlando Pirates on the 28 April could be played on a neutral ground due to Covid-19 reasons.
Enyimba FC had earlier on 24 February written to the NFF, PTF,CAF mad Ministry of Sports to seek clearance for the game to be held in Aba, but they're yet to get final decision from the bodies.
Benin Republic, Ghana and Cameroon are possible venues to hold the CAF Confederation Cup game pending any last minute decision.
