Enyimba Walk Tight Rope In CAF Confederation Cup Quarterfinal By Sampson Adedeji It was a day to forget for Nigeria representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Enyimba international, as they suffered a 4-1 defeat to FC Pyramids of Egypt in the first leg of the quarter final, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Striker Victor Mbaoma stunned the home crowd in the first minute as he netted the opening goal. The early goal woke up the host club and they were able to level the scoreline in the 15th minute through Ramadan Sobhi and ended the first stanza all square. Pyramids took absolute control of the game in the second half and they went ahead in the 49th minute with a stunning strike from Abdallah El Saed . Poor defending from Enyimba backline allowed Ibrahim Adel to make it 3-1 in the 58th minute before completing his brace in the 66th minute. All the efforts of Enyimba to reduce the deficit proved abortive as the game ended 4-1 in favour of the host. The People's Elephant will host the second leg next weekend at the Enyimba international stadium in Aba and required at least 3 goal margin to have chance of progressing into the semi final of the competition.
