EPL 9ja Wrap: Dennis Fires Blank In Watford Loss, Omobamidele's Norwich Picks First Point By Omolagba Oluwayemi Nigeria players continued to make in Europe's most glamorous league (EPL) on Saturday but it wasn't the type we wanted for the weekend, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Emmanuel Dennis and William Troost-Ekong both played the entire duration as Watford suffered a 1 nil loss to Leeds United on Saturday. Dennis who last scored for Watford in their match day six 3-1 win over Norwich City picked up a yellow card in the 90th minute for a dissent. A solid defensive performance it was for William Troost-Ekong in the second half but the 18th minute goal conceded meant Watford will have to wait another week for their third win in this season's Premier League. Alex Iwobi was absent as Everton picked up a point at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the early Saturday kick-off. The Nigerian mid-field/wing player was absent from the encounter but will be proud of his team's performance away from home. Bukayo Saka was on parade for 90 minutes as Arsenal/Brighton settled for a goalless draw in the final Saturday's fixture. The English/Nigerian winger has been the saving grace for his club (Arsenal) on numerous occasions and last weekend believed they will win at least a laurel this season. Meanwhile at the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea defeated 10-man Southampton 3-1 to move top of the log. Norwich picked their first point of the season after playing out a goalless draw with Burnley at Turf Moor. Wolves racked up their third victory of the campaign after an impressive 2-1 win against Newcastle United. Actions continues on Sunday as few other players with Nigeria origin are expected to graze the field for their respective clubs.
