EPL: Aina May Return To Italy
By Sampson Adedeji
The final position of the English premier league side Fulham FC at the end of the season will go a long way in deciding where Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, will play his football career next season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The versatile defender joined the Italian side Torino two seasons ago from the English Premier League side Chelsea on loan before they acquired him permanently last season.
He was loaned to the Cottagers for their premier league campaign last summer with a clause to purchase him outrightly if they stay in the elite division.
Italian Football news outlet Calciomercato says that should Fulham decide not to use the option, then Torino will try to sell Aina for the very same amount to some other interested club.
Aina made 31 appearances for Fulham this season so far, and was Scott Parker’s first choice for the right-back position in all times he was available.
That’s why it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Whites buying him, but with a potential relegation, that would clearly be a downfall in the club’s budget for the next season.
